Global Gatherings are regional conversations, driven by educators and rotating between schools, on world-connected learning. The question behind this year’s Global Gathering is: "How can K-12 schools help students explore, discover and articulate a sense of purpose?” Global Gathering: Doha is organized by World Leadership School and hosted by The American School of Doha on December 6-7, 2019.
The 2-day conference explores Purpose Learning as a powerful framework for the future of learning. Schools in the past have focused on thinking. Schools in the future will focus on learning as thinking, feeling, and doing all at the same time so that students can explore lives of purpose. This conference begins with a workshop that allows educators to explore and clarify their own purpose and then moves into Explore sessions, where teachers share ideas around Purpose Learning. Deep Dive sessions allow teachers to explore a topic at greater depth. Our goal is to give educators inspiration and practical takeaways.
